Surface Search Radar

Taiwan’s main threats come from the surrounding oceans. NCSIST has developed various fixed and mobilized types of short / medium / long range surveillance radar systems. These systems are deployed on the island and remote islands for monitoring real-time ship activities. The information provides implementation of anti-ship and anti-landing operations.

The surveillance covers from coastal area to long distance oceanic area. The radar system has the capability of track-while-scan (TWS), which can track great amount of targets simultaneously. It has identification friend or foe (IFF), electronic counter-countermeasures (ECCM), command, control, communications, and intelligence (C3I) and networking integration capabilities. The acquired information can be used for guiding the missile in advance.
