Computer Based Training System (CBT)
Extended Reality Training (XRT)
Technologies of Virtual Reality (VR), Augmented Reality (AR) and Mixed Reality are becoming increasingly mature nowadays. Extended Reality (XR) encompasses these technologies and enables the development of solutions for various application scenarios, including fully virtual environments, virtual content overlaid onto the real world and virtual objects capable of interacting with the physical environment.
XRT products including operation and maintenance features of various NCSIST-supplied weapons and equipment which aligned with the training requirements of different military branches can be developed, to provide trainers instructional guidance, self-directed practice and multi-user collaborative training.
XRT products are primarily based on head-mounted displays, with handled controllers and gestures recognition serving as auxiliary interaction methods. These systems provide realistic world visuals and intuitive interaction mechanisms. Through well-designed training curricula, trainers can experience various scenarios in simulated environments to become familiar with standard operation procedures and corresponding response actions to improve overall training effectiveness.
