Multi-functional Observation System

Multi-functional Observation System

The Multi-Functional Observation System (MFOS) is specially designed to perform enemy observation and target positioning for the  artillery and mortar units. Comprising of a thermal imager, an eye-safe laser range finder binocular (LRFB), a wired/wireless remote controlled 2-axis observation station, a digital magnetic compass (DMC), and an integrated internal GPS, the modular designed system can not only provide real-time situational awareness around the clock but also can further reduce the carrying weight by only choosing the appropriate observation apparatus such as the thermal imager or the LRFB depending on the mission requirements. It has advantages of fast positioning, high precision, and excellent performance to weight ratio, which is beneficial in locating targets and bomb impact positions to the observation officer in the battlefield.
