Iron-based contact strip for high speed rail vehicles

Iron-based contact strip for high speed rail vehicles

The product is made of iron-based powder by sintering and is used in the pantograph of high speed rail vehicles. The contact strip serve as a current collector for high speed rail vehicles and directly contact with the copper wires of the overhead catenary system in operation. In addition to having good conductivity and wear resistance, the contact strip needs to reduce the damage to the copper wire. Therefore, most iron-based contact strips contain trace amounts of lead element. For environmentally friendly purpose, NCSIST has successfully developed the lead-free iron-based contact strips with the same performance as the normal iron-based contact strips, and has obtained Japanese and Republic of China patents.
