Thin Film Solar Cell Process & Apparatus

The present technology is related to an apparatus designed with specific methods for making an absorbing layer of a solar cell. In fact, it employs a vacuum-based process to carry out Roll-to-Roll (R2R) 3-stage co-evaporation of CIGS onto a substrate.
The primary objective of the present invention is to manufacture an absorbing layer of a compound solar cell through inexpensive procedures. The main technologies involved in this system are: nozzle of linear source designed by DSMC method, edge position control (EPC) and rotation speed control system under high-temperature and high-vacuum environment, and Se vapor supply system.
