Radar Absorption Materials
Radar Absorption Materials(RAMs): RAMs are specially designed materials for reducing the reflection, scattering or transmission of incident electromagnetic wave via absorption and/or interference.
The RAM absorbers are usually designed and fabricated by mixing some special magnetic and/or electrical absorbing agents with polymer matrixes. Such an absorber can be deployed upon the surface of military vehicles and weapons to absorb electromagnetic waves, reduce target’s radar cross section (RCS), depress electromagnetic interferences (EMI) of high-frequency components, and eliminate the surface wave propagations.
