Micro Turbine Generator
In order to adapt to global trends toward distributed generation, enhance energy independence and reduce greenhouse gas effect, National Chung-Shan Institute of Science & Technology (NCSIST) has been developing the micro turbine generator based on the experience of the turbofan engine development program of IDF. The micro turbine generator is characterized by high efficiency, low pollution, low cost and modular design.
The micro turbine generator power system comprises a gas turbine engine with a high speed electrical generator to provide power of 200kw and to have overall efficiency more than 78% by design of exhaust heat recovery systems. In addition, because of the modular design of micro turbine generator power systems, the maintenance of the system is simple and a customized module is likely to be provided.
The system can be operated by gas and liquid fuels and used for energy efficiency for industrial boilers, biogas-fueled renewable energy, islanding energy and can be integrated with microgrid systems to enhance energy independence and reduce greenhouse gas effect.
