NBC Reconnaissance Vehicle(NBCRV)
NBCRV is self-developed by NCSIST and is equipped with a radiological detection system, a biological sample collection system, a chemical detection system, a collective protection system, a environment image monitor system, and a C4 (Command, Control, Communication, Computer) system. NBCRV had been deployed in the north coast of Taiwan to monitor and detect the radiation level during the 311 nuclear incident of Fukushima, Japan.
NBCRV can be used for supporting military missions and anti-terrorism tasks. Furthermore, NBCRV features high mobile capability, and its integrated systems can perform any detection mission more effectively than that detected by personnel. When a NBC event unavoidably occurs, NBCRV can detect the contaminants rapidly, warn the hazard early and inform units to take protective procedures properly. With an early notifications signaled from NBCRV by its GPS and communication system, commanders can manage and control the CBRN battlefield to reduce injury, secure personnel safety and conserve the military force.
