Tool-Machine Inspective Laboratory

As early as 1996, the Tool-Machine Inspective Laboratory of MRSRD was founded and accredited by Chinese National Laboratory Accreditation (CNLA), which was transformed to TAF in 2003. Current accreditation issued by TAF (Accreditation Number: 0300) has been effective since 2014. It was the first Accreditation Laboratory in testing tool machine accuracy in Taiwan.
It measures linear positioning accuracy, angle positioning accuracy, and geometry accuracy of 28 kinds of tool machines (24 of them are included in accreditation items) which can be characterized as follows:
(1) Lathes, Milling machines, Shaping machines, Grinding machines, Drilling & Milling machines
(2) Boring machines
(3) Vertical Machining centers
(4) Horizontal Machining centers
(5) Electric discharging machines
(6) Coordinate measuring machines
(7) Precision surface platforms


Quality Inspection & Test Laboratory

The Quality Inspection & Test Laboratory of MRSRD was founded in 2013 and accredited by Taiwan Accreditation Foundation (TAF) (Accreditation Number: 2842) in 2014. The accredited items are:
(1) Coating thickness measurement:
      a. Magnetic method (ASTM B499): Zn/Fe (0~50 μm)、Cr/Fe (0~60 μm)、Phosphate/Fe

          (0~15 μm)、Paint/Fe (0~300 μm)
      b. Eddy current method (ASTM B244): Anodic Coating/Al (0~60 μm) 、Paint/Al (0~200 μm)
      c. X-Ray spectrometry method (ASTM B568): Zn/Fe (0~25 μm)、Ni/Fe(0~25.4 μm)
(2) Dimensions & geometric measurements by coordinate measuring machine: length, straightness,

      flatness, roundness, parallelism, perpendicularity, concentricity, position, symmetry, cylindrically,

      and angularity.


Structural & Mechanical Design, Analysis & Testing Laboratory

The Structural & Mechanical Design, Analysis & Testing Laboratory of MRSRD was first accredited in 1995 by Chinese National Laboratory Accreditation (CNLA) which was transformed to TAF in 2003. Current accreditation issued by TAF (Accreditation Number: 0157) has been effective since 2014. It measures dynamic strain of metal structures within air vehicles, transport vehicles, steel constructions, machinery components, pressure vessels, and etc. The strain measurement of metal components in strength tests provides safety information of structures under loads.
Our techniques involved in measuring dynamic strain refer to the documents published by Vishay Micro-Measurements. Testing conditions are: strain ±2% , temperature -75C ~ 175C, and frequency 1kHz.

 

Mechanical Performance Testing Laboratory

The Mechanical Performance Testing Laboratory of MRSRD was found in 1994 and accredited, in the same year, by Chinese National Laboratory Accreditation (CNLA) which was transformed to TAF in 2003, and present accreditation issued from TAF (Accreditation Number: 0151) has been effective since 2012. Its services include pressure proof (liquid/gas) and leakage (liquid/gas) tests of pressurized containers. Testing conditions are:
(1) Pressure proof:
      a. gas pressure:
      range: 0~41.4 MPa, 0~420 kgf/cm2, 0~6000 psig
      b. liquid pressure:
      range: 0~138 MPa, 0~1400 kgf/cm2, 0~20000 psig
(2) Leakage:
      a. gas pressure:
      range: 0~41.4 MPa, 0~420 kgf/cm2, 0~6000 psig
      b. liquid pressure:
      range: 0~138 MPa, 0~1400 kgf/cm2, 0~20000 psig
